How to remove XB Wishlist cleanly, and what happens to your data.
Before you uninstall
- Export your data if you might want it later: Home → Export. Once Shopify asks us to delete your store's data, it can't be recovered. See Import and export.
- Remove code you added yourself. The app embed and app blocks stop showing as soon as you uninstall. Tags or snippets you pasted into theme code, such as
<xb-wishlist-header>or the[xb-wishlist-page]shortcode, stay in the theme and should be removed by hand. - Delete the wishlist page if you used Separate Page. It's a normal page in Online Store → Pages.
Uninstall the app
In Shopify admin, go to Settings → Apps and sales channels, find XB Wishlist, click … and choose Uninstall.
Any paid subscription ends when you uninstall. Shopify handles the final charge or credit.
What happens to your data

| About 48 hours later | Shopify tells XB Wishlist to erase your store's data. All wishlists, customers' saved items, settings, analytics and email logs are deleted permanently. |
If you reinstall before your data is erased, your wishlists and settings are still there. You go through the setup wizard again to turn the app embed back on.
Your customers' data
When one of your customers asks Shopify to erase their data, XB Wishlist deletes everything it holds about them: their wishlists, saved-for-later items, reminders, analytics events and email logs.
